When retailers tell me "you save $534" on a new laptop, I start to wonder what kind of margins they make or if they just jacked up the sticker prices to offer a "discount".
Always a mystery to me how their marketing folks think a brand lying is a good idea 🤷

@Jule_B I once worked graveyard shifts at a retailer that marked up prices the night before employee discount day, and the same people who did the marking up were loading up their carts the next morning anyway. Pavlov wasn't whistling out of his behind, that's for sure.
