@rjatilley Energy costs (heat, cooling) is proportional to the temperature difference (delta T) between the interior of your house and the outside and the size of the house (heat transfer is proportional to the surface area.) Of course, insulation reduces heat transfer and drafts increase heat/cooling escaping.
