As soon as this Loss of Pulse feature is available on the Pixel Watch 3 I'll be buying one. It's a safety feature for my cat.
Because I live alone, have no family whatsoever, and few friends none of whom regularly check to see if I'm still breathing. If I die in my sleep or at home my cat stands a good chance of dying of starvation before anyone wonders about me. There is no service here that checks on you daily like there is in the US (https://www.snugsafe.com/)

hmmmmm… was just tackling that very problem yesterday. I’ve got 2 wonderful daughters that live an hour away but we don’t talk every day. I’ve got 3 cats. So I’ve told the daughters that I will send a photo every day around noon. If they don’t get a photo they should call/text me. I’m not familiar with Snugsafe.com will check it out.

happily, i live in the US, and thanks to you- i just signed up for Snugsafe. my daughters are thrilled, which is fine, but it's my CATS i care about! so this will protect them all! 🐈 💙 🐈 🐈
hey, one good turn deserves another... until your Loss of Pulse Pixel Watch comes out... do you want a back up? you can send me a text or pix of your cat each day. do you have an emergency # like a neighbor that could be contacted if you don't send a pix?
i love living alone... but i don't want my cats (sigh- okay, and my daughters) to be at risk because of my solitude. now i have Snugsafe. you can have QOE cat lady safety patrol.

@NorthernInvader @Jorro hey with that fancy watch you’re waiting for,,, splurge for a meow-activated device that your cat can contact my cats or your designated “emergency cat” so she doesn’t have to deal with strange humans.
I’m flexible… the catch 22 is that the backup to not checking in requires a call or text to an emergency contact that can actually check on the person.
Snugsafe is great. - the free version has my daughters in Seattle and one neighbor listed as my “emergecy contacts” who are notified if I miss chek-in. The paid ver is $10 per month and gives access to contact help to check house. or to send someone to your last address (they track).
