People think that LA is "fruit and nuts country." Wait until they get a load of the new GOP House.

Others will pull a Rand Paul and withhold their support from the GOP because of "principles"; e.g., they will only give support to a bill if the Speaker adds a rider for funding the purchase of an AR-15 for every kindergarten student in America.

3. Add to this the fact that MAGA Republicans revel in their assholery. There will be some MAGA representatives who will gladly torpedo GOP initiatives so they can grandstand and say that these initiatives aren't MAGA enough.

People who think Greene will now run the House are vastly understating the difficulties the new GOP Speaker will face with less than a five vote majority:

@Rowdy One big fear was that the GOP would repeatedly impeach Biden and hold nonstop hearings to piss all over him. That also seems DOA to an extent. The likelihood that this slim of a GOP majority could pull such stunts seems small, especially since at any given time the House is typically short four or five members.

Facebook reminds me that it is my aunt's birthday and that I should send her a greeting. She died of covid about a year ago. This kind of thing always feels gives me the creeps.
