USWNT can complain all they like about the refereee (correct decision) and goal line technology but the fact is, this is not the all conquering team from a few years ago.
They have had a terrible tournament and have looked shabby and even at times amateurish against average at best opposition.
Sorry.
But that's how it is.

@John_Ripley It's missing or not finding the goal in regular time that puts you into the lottery of penalties.
@John_Ripley They were lucky to survive Portugal, who were on fire.
World champions should not be in such a precarious position, but it was an entirely predictable failure.
And that's ok, because it's sport, and that's how it is.
