I've been asked to put together a two-hour PRIDE music show for
New Hampshire Public Radio!
LGBTQ songs, anthems, and artists this Friday at 8:00 and replayed on Saturday at 9:00!
What are your favorite PRIDE songs to include in the show?
"Did she make you cry, make you break down? Shatter your illusion of love?"
One of the best. That illusion has been shattered a few times.
It's time, once again, for #abftp! I've got a fever -- and the only Rx is for more cowbell... but not THAT song.
88.7fm in Indy or online @wicronline.org!
Must be getting early... clocks are running late. Paint by number morning sky looks so phony.
A TWISTED SISTER PIN!!!!??? ON YOUR UNIFORM!!!!!???
Fun show coming together for this weekend! π
I wanted to wrap up this hour with Peace of Mind from Boston because that's perfection for me. Cut the drama, cut the competition... just be cool. Ya know?
Plus... guitar solo.
The unplugged version of Take on Me is such a different song from the original. It's striking!
Let's turn it up a bit... "Never Say Die" was from the Blaze of Glory album (Jon Bon Jovi) and, to me, is a good song about how to live life and even how to die.
Silver Springs... ugh... this is a hard song. "I know I could have loved you but you would not let me."
I love the bridge on Constant Craving - plus I think that k.d. Lang is just awesome!
Adding onto what I said on air - I also found out that I was just a long line of people this person sees. Wasn't love for him... just another notch.
*shrugs*
"With you I'd walk anywhere."
Really ANY song from "Songs You Know By Heart" is a jam... I just had to choose one and Come Monday was it.
Even though Glory of Love is getting a bit toasty for some, it's still my partner and I's song... so... I'm going to play it.
And now onto "Your Wildest Dreams" from the Moody Blues... the one that got away... kind of like Summer of '69. Sometimes I think about that person... wonder if he thinks about me.
Every Little Kiss - actually Bruce Hornsby - was an artist that a guy I dated loved. Was one of those moments where we sat on the hood of the car and played "The Way It Is" just listening and talking.
I always hummed "Words" from Missing Persons whenever I walked to the university class that I taught.
You might know Neil Finn from Crowded House... but Split Enz is also a favorite of mine - History Never Repeats.
