I don't think we're too far gone. I think what we are currently enduring are the death throes of a political party that allowed themselves to be hijacked and manipulated for power and political gain. They are failing. They know they are and have been for some time. Death throes can be very violent and cause some chaos and destruction. But death inevitably follows. Don't mind the thrashing. It'll all be over for the facists soon. They haven't broken anything unfixable.
