Never liked the first one
@cwithav I enjoyed the first Top Gun movie and other #TomCruise movies…until I learned what completely evil people he and his fellow #Scientology - sanctioning bigwigs are. (Recommend Leah Remini’s series on the subject, as well as her book /Troublemaker/.)

I lived near Clearwater and watched it change. Encountered a few; would see them escorted around the beach on a Friday night. Gave me the Heebie Jeebies. Heard quite a few stories from locals…
Anyhoo, if you haven’t read Going Clear by Lawrence Wright it’s fabulous. I read it before Rimini’s book. Great companion pieces.They don’t repeat each other except to tell some of the same stories from different perspectives. #scientology
