@Bliss you as well, Bliss!
@Agatha I’m so sad to see that people hate wax cola bottles, those were always so cool to have as a kid!
@Rstrahs You got good taste my friend
@Rstrahs I’m probably in the minority here, but I actually liked this one
@mightymite Micha! I miss you! And I hope the same for you. Glad to see you around, I hope you’re doing well despite the burnout.
Had a great time last night – reminds me that I need to make time to go out more and not just stay isolated. It’s so easy to do that to yourself and make it a habit.
After this past week, most of the heaviest stuff for work is over and done with. I feel a little better knowing that. Relaxation time is underway!
@clong Thank you
@clong My birthday is coming up soon, so I’ll start winding down around then and take more days for myself. First things first is taking that day and doing whatever I’d like. Around the holidays, I’m going to take an extended break with the company assigned holidays to stretch it.
@MakerWerks That’s rough. Self-employment is a double-edged sword in that way. High reward but costly in other ways. Besides the self-employment, that’s how mine tends to line up. My vacation days tend to be used up for federal holidays to travel.
Truth be told, I think I’m experiencing major burnout. I haven’t taken even a weeks worth of vacation this year. And I think it’s taking a toll on me. Most times I feel like I can ignore it and I feel okay enough, and other times I feel a sense of desperation weighing on me. It feels like suffocation. And then it releases in a few days and I feel like it was just something I had to push past and continue advancing through my days and weeks.
@sarcasmsign Lol I love that. We had a few people fly out of their chair from abrupt stops 😭🤣
It’s difficult to manage emotions when stressors come at us from so many directions. We can become overwhelmed even to the point of shutting down.
That’s when we need to find the joys. It’s important for our mind, body and soul to keep moving forward even when it’s seemingly the hardest to do.
Promise yourself today you’ll get up, find purpose and see the joys and fill yourself up. 💜
Saw The Invisible Man (1933) and then The Mummy (1932) last night (tbh I was dozing off during The Mummy because I was so tired so I need to watch again).
But I can honestly say The Invisible Man is one hell of a movie. Absolutely loved it.
