MAGA Republicans and Donald Trump started a whole war with the Haitian community over false rumors. Over 300,000 Haitians can vote in Florida.

Bwaa-ha-ha-haa! ๐คฃ ๐
@p3R1n01D ๐
@Jezibaba
Totally! ๐ช ๐
@p3R1n01D How you been??
@Jezibaba
Short version: Not bad, thanks. And you?
Long version: Up, down, and all around! ๐
I left DemCast late last winter over some weird internal bs, plus personal lack of time.
Dad was diagnosed with breast cancer, but was early stages and he's 100% recovered now.
I trimmed my toenails. ๐คทโโ๏ธ ๐
And -- we've got bunnies in the backyard! ๐ ๐ฐ
I was off CoSo most of the summer, just started poking back in a month ago.
I've missed you and the others! How's it going with you?
@p3R1n01D caught the crud after family visited. Still dealing with that but it seems to be waning. Hurrah.
Are we on the same roller coaster or what?
DemCast never wrote to me. I see them on Twitter sometimes but not often. Have you found time? ๐
Such good news for your dad. Lucky to have found it early. Does he live nearby?
So did I! ๐ฃ
Love me some buns. I think the local feral felines keep them out of my yard.
I was too. I'm happy to see your return.
My front yard. Fall in full bloom.
@Jezibaba
OMG, that's a gorgeous front yard! ๐ Are those aspens? I love those, my backyard is full of them. Looks like autumn is a bit further along for you, but we'll catch up fast.
Dad and I share a house, so sometimes too nearby. ๐
Congrats on your toenails! ๐ ๐ Bummer about the crud, I'll send healing vibes! ๐ ๐ฟ๏ธ
Yeah, it felt like DemCast was falling apart this year. Getting too automated in the wrong places. Lori Coleman, founder and & of 3 working Directors, left last winter too.
@p3R1n01D They are! I have yet to figure out which one is mama but I have a ton of saplings because of her. Autumn is here. Luckily, the temps are still warm enough to get stuff finished before the snows fly.
Oh my. I probably knew that but forgot. I'm happy he had you with him while he was going through hell.
Thank you!
What a shame. ๐ Was it an easy decision for you to make?
Potters Marsh and Girdwood in autumn.
@Jezibaba
That's where I'm at, scurrying before the snows fly! Gorgeous pics! ๐
Thanks! It's an honor to help him where I can, he's always been there for me. My hero. He even helped lift a motorcycle off a guy after an accident he saw last week! He's 80. ๐ช โค๏ธ
Yeah, it was a tough decision. On the one hand, the importance of this election and the good I believed DemCast can do. On the other, my aging father and the golden hours we can share. Talking politics. ๐ ๐ Love won. โค๏ธ
@p3R1n01D you should have had your nuts buried well before September! ๐
He sounds like a good man, and lucky to have you in his life still. Is the rider okay?
You chose well. It always wins. โค๏ธ
@Jezibaba
LOL! ๐ Yeah, I have a special team working diligently to bury those nuts in time. ๐ This is Daisy. โค๏ธ ๐ฟ๏ธ
I think the rider was okay. An ambulance was called and took him inside, but he declined transport and said he was okay. Dad and I both used to ride, so helping others is still the code.
Yeah, love is always the right choice! โค๏ธ
@Jezibaba
LOL! ๐คฃ ๐คฃ ๐คฃ I'm definitely stealing that! ๐
I started on a Yamaha XS 400. Sweet little bike! With it's 6 gears and low center of gravity, I could scream through the canyons. Even beat a guy on a crotch rocket who thought he wanted to drag race, and I had a passenger. It's all in the clutch! ๐
Later I had a Suzuki 550, and a Yamaha XS 650. I had sold that and was looking at a classic Kawasaki KZ 1000 when my buddy lost his leg on his Ninja. I bought a 4x4 pickup instead. ๐
@p3R1n01D dirt bikes! Did you ride a circuit?
Fastest I've ever ridden was on a Ninja. I knew it would be over if one thing went wrong.
Please give my hellos and a high five to your dad for me. ๐๐ผ๐
@Jezibaba
Yeah, I love the feel of riding a rocket! ๐ ๐ Glad I started small though, probably why I'm alive today. ๐
Boulder (CO) is nestled right up against the mountains, so I'd usually head straight up Boulder Canyon. From Nedderland, the Peak-to-Peak highway runs North-South, and connects to dozens of smaller canyons and mountain roads.
I also liked long trips, been to every corner of the state. Once late at night, my buddy and I went to Cheyenne, WY for coffee at Denny's! ๐
