My worry about the upcoming election is that not enough Americans understand in their bones that the nation they have known, their lives as they have lived them, might be wiped away in day.

After I read the line: “TANKS EVERYWHERE” images of Jan 6 flashed in my mind- the crowds pushing, fights breaking out, the trump tent with them watching the violence on tv & Kimberly doing a stupid dance for the camera, crowds storming the Capitol, attacking the police, throwing bike racks, invasion of Nancy Pelosi’s office, the heroic cop (Eugene Goodman)
Standing against the violent mob …
That’s the closest we’ve come to the end of America as we know it.
