@Jezibaba Because what was weird 20 years ago is mainstream now.
@sentientdessert always ahead of the curve
@Jezibaba Hey, 30 years ago it was weird to like anime, now it is weird NOT to...
@sentientdessert I am being schooled in that arena by my oldest spawn. He's a fan. I agree with this statement
@Jezibaba Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon is a good one right now, for older kids and adults.
Frieren is another good one in that genre.
Apothecary Diaries is good for older as well, just because of the setting including the emporer's concubines and a brothel the main character helped at. It's a fun story with mystery involved.
@sentientdessert I haven't seen any of these. Thank you!!
@Jezibaba I have a massive list of recomendations, for all ages. There are some I really like, but they're not for kids, like Berserk or Overlord or Goblin Slayer.
But I love ones like Azumanga Daioh (slice of life comedy) Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, or Pretty Cure. (magical girl series)
Then there's the ones that look like kids shows, but are deep and dark. Like Digimon Tamers, gets very existential and dark, but really good.
@sentientdessert he still tears up watching Clannad.
@Jezibaba If you want something that's guaranteed tears...
Grave of the Fireflies. One of the best animated films of all time.
@sentientdessert that's on our list. I know about the plot. I'm looking forward to it and not looking forward to it iykwim 🖤
@sentientdessert 🥺 understood.
