@Jezibaba I believe they will, but it’s to our shame that they have to. Polling this last midterm shows that only 30% of millennials turned out.

@C_H_Antony I have a few thoughts about that but I don't feel my opinion matters at the moment. We can hope they come back on board.

@Jezibaba opinions never “matter,” but they help create questions, the endeavor to answer those questions leads us, when reason is applied, to conclusion. What do you think?

@C_H_Antony Millennials wanted out of the mire, more progressive policies, hence the Bernie Sanders issues in 16. I feel they became more than disheartened but it also created a vacuum when they decided never Hillary. Biden is not progressive. We are now in a fight against fascism, another reason for them feel their vote doesn't matter. We are on a continual swing to the right. The Zs turned voting age and are more stoked, energized. That's why the hope in the future rests with them.

@Jezibaba I happen to agree with your assessment. I think that’s a huge part of what’s happening.

@C_H_Antony It may be a block that we have to work around until we see the demolition of the right and the swing towards more progressive policies.

@Jezibaba I keep trying to get my generation to think tactically. We have to primary like demons, but lock arms and get to the polls in November. It’s not going to be a “this one election” fix, but it can be in 2 or 3. Bidens a blu-dog and hasn’t helped progressives, but he hasn’t really hindered us. I am junk if he’s in office when we take the house and bulk up the senate, he’d sign whatever comes out without complaint.

@C_H_Antony You are not wrong. I likened it to a tantrum from the immediate generation; McDonalds, gaming, internet. They are used to immediate gratification so tactics and long game are a hard sell. It was Bernie or bust, man. They went with bust. AOC is the best rep for millennials. I hope they come back but we need more and I don't blame them.

@Jezibaba that’s a part of it; in that we are very much a product of our environments. But we’ve also grown up with way more information access. Constant news feeds at younger ages showing the shear volume of injustice and cruelty before we had time to develop coping mechanisms for it. We’re not apathetic, we’re burned out.

@C_H_Antony I never suggested apathetic. I get where you're coming from. I just don't know how we'd ever get any of the progressives back if we don't up our own ante.
