@Jezibaba that's part of it. another part, that white people often overlook, is that lack of access to birth control & abortion more heavily afflicts communities of color. Black women are 4 times more likely to die from pregnancy & childbirth than white women. lack of access to abortion & birth control exacerbates generational poverty by preventing continuing education or ability to get good jobs, either by preventing moving to better areas or lack of child care or both. not a bug, a feature
@Jezibaba Last month a woman who suffered a miscarriage was jailed in Texas. It' has already started. Thankfully the public outrage has led to the charges being dropped. Next time the victims of state overreach may not be so lucky.
