pics from my 1992 trip. I left a part of my heart there. Most of what you see on the news does not represent what goes on there. Most people go about their daily lives. Businesses hired Arabs to work for them, and came in from the West Bank on buses. We had a couple of cabbies at the Dead Sea, both Arab guys. One was named Abu. They worked together and it was no big deal.

@OldDude71 Nice to meet you. I want to visit Pittsburgh again. I've only been there once. It looks like a pretty place!

@JeniRizio Here's what I came up with for your prompt: 'Create an image of a skinny blonde lady seated at a computer wearing a headset and reading glasses.'

Diolch (thank you) to everyone who liked, boosted and commented on my Welsh explainer video posts. Big ups to you for following my channel too! YOU ROCK!

Story: bylines.cymru/hiraeth/theres-n

"In June I went to the land of castles and spoke the tongue of the dragon. By which, of course, I mean Wales and Welsh, Cymru and Cymraeg. For my first proper holiday in over 20 years, I planned the trip and went by myself. As a single person, I had two choices: travel alone, or don’t travel. I chose to travel.

Many people have mentioned that it can be hard…"

@JeniRizio I came up with the pen pal concept. Because I was seeing a lot of people just looking for someone to chat with (aside from all the brats looking to "cyber").

Started with putting a separate sub-board in each country board for pen pal requests and then someone in AOL decided to take it further.

I've mentioned this before but I was the original message board manager for the International Channel on America Online for roughly 12 years (1992 though the mid 2000's). I literally built the place out from a base skeleton their IT department created.

At its peak it was the largest messaging forum on the service and I was sifting through anywhere from 120-150 thousand postings per week. 75% of the content was poltical discussion. No tools.... just raw speed reading.... 1/x

If you like these weird pictures I made and would like them on a shirt, mug, sticker or other thing, now's your chance!
