I sincerely hope someone watches this video I made. :(
Let me grab my ๐ง!
@ExecutiveFunction404 Awesome! Thanks!
I like it! Especially the transition from like a downtempo industrial to atmospheric.
@ExecutiveFunction404 thank you so much! I tried my best to do the movie justice in my tribute.
@JeniRizio I listenined to it (I couldn't watch it as the image jumped too much and constantly distracted me).. The music felt a little dark and brooding but was ok.
@Mandypar thanks. :)
@JeniRizio I listened. Great work!
@kendonnelly thank you so much!
@MordantCarnival thank you!
@JeniRizio Interesting!
Piece of advice: the video could most likely be improved with some filters / post-processing.
I'd start with digital image stabilization (not as good as physical image stabilization, but it can still look pretty good), then something like an edge-detect algorithm (among other things... I'd probably try to make it look like retrofuturistic vector graphics) and maybe a monochrome green filter?
@IrelandTorin oh wow, that's great advice! I filtered it somewhat to try and give it a 70s neon glow to it. Maybe I will try some of those filters if I have them! I know I can do the green filter and the vector-style graphics filter. I just don't want it to look cheesy; it's easy to do that with the vectorizer filter FX. Getting the lighting right is key. My program has an auto-stabiliser so I will try that too. Thanks so much for the production tips! YOU ROCK!
@JeniRizio Thanks :D I try.
Ooh, I bet that turned out nicely!
If I were you, I might even think about leaning into the retro cheesiness a bit - a lot of authentic '70s and '80s stuff was pretty cheesy, and to a lot of people that's actually part of the allure; the cheese is often an integral part of what makes it catchy/fun.
You're very welcome! I'm just glad I could help. Aww, that's so kind of you ๐
Any electronic #CoSoMusic fans want to take a chance on an original, please?
