@DallasBarnett does the Writers' Strike affect reality shows? I had auditioned for an international one set in NY and no word after 2+ months plus a thank you email and two brief follow-ups spaced a professional 6 weeks apart

@JeniRizio officially, they are 'unscripted' so whenever there is a long-running strike, production companies will fall back on using non-union actors / contestants and just a shitload of footage to splice a story together. Happened back in 2008 the same way. We are about to be inundated with the dumbest shit possible.

@JeniRizio i never look at it like 'i didnt get cast'.. I try and always come at it from the 'theres another casting director who knows me..'

@DallasBarnett mine was for an oddly-specific need: Welsh speakers living in the USA. They were going to shoot down in NYC and in LA. I live in NY State and told her I could spend time in the city for the job. It's a newish production company producing for Welsh channel S4C. They tend to be pretty liberal over there and not cross picket lines. Their website says they are re-branding. Am not sure if I got rejected or the new production is on hold for some reason

@JeniRizio Long as the crew isnt on strike, most unscripted shows will probably go ahead, but if they are in the middle of a rebrand, that might delay stuff a bit..
