Are other countries' children subjected to horribly creepy corporate mascots?

@0x56 Once had radio station mascot gig (‘80s) as Mr. Fox. We also called it the rat costume but it was pretty nice.
Most kids loved it but it was terribly hard to see out of plus the tail might knock some over. This is why we tried to always have a minder nearby. Also: unbearably hot, not sure how anyone literally runs around in these things
