@Descry @wildnfree And yes, most start exactly as you describe, injury, accident, surgery. No misuse of prescribed meds, but a physical dependence after they’re gone, without knowing it until then. Doesn’t discriminate on race, wealth, income, education, occupation. Anyone who says it’s not in their backyard, they’re not paying attention. Wouldn’t that be a lovely reality if true, to not be touched or affected, but it isn’t, it’s a fantasy.
