@JeSsA

I just bought us a "Souper Cube" tray for the freezer that will make six half-cup "cubes" at a time.

@mcfate I've seen those!! Let me know how you like them. I was thinking of getting something like that for the dogs and making little dog food or treat cubes to freeze for them as individual treats or an add-on in their food

@JeSsA

We like it, we used it to freeze a bunch of chicken-bone broth I made so it wouldn't go bad.

It's sturdy silicone, so the frozen cubes are easy to remove and put in a freezer bag, and it washes up well. I'm not much of a plastic fan, but in the right application, silicone is great stuff. It comes with a lid, so the cubes don't get "crusty" with ice.

@JeSsA

They come in an absolute plethora of different sizes, from cubes that are a couple of tablespoons to entire cup-size ones.

@JeSsA

If I ever do start a noodle shop, I'm buying an entire gross of these things. I'll spend a weekend doing nothing but making soup for the next month.

@mcfate a noodle shop!! I didn't realize this was an aspiration! That's awesome!

@JeSsA

It's more of a fantasy than an aspiration. If I actually tried this, I'd totally end up being the "Noodle Nazi".

THAT'S IT! OUT!! NO DANDANMEN FOR YOU!!!

@mcfate true, BUT, if it's a passion, you could love it! Like me, with my dog grooming. There's days where people and dogs drive me absolutely crazy, but at the end of it all, I still love it.

@JeSsA

I can honestly remember thinking decades ago that it would be great if there were some way to earn a living by reading, watching horror movies, and smoking weed.

@JeSsA

I don't think it's what I'm good at.

I DID what I'm good at for long enough that I sort of don't "have" to do much of anything at all, and I like that.

@mcfate good. Now you yet to enjoy your life. As you should! I say follow your noodle dream. Even if it's small pop up or farmers market type scenes. You could test it out for fun, see how you like it! I know if I was ever in your area, I'd come support you!

@JeSsA @mcfate

I’ve used mini loaf pans for soups. You end up with a soup log.
And I like those or ice cube trays for dog treats.
Not elegant but they were repurposed items from things we already had.
32 oz containers from yogurt or cottage cheese are good too.
