If he were still with us today, he'd be turning 100 in February, 2022.

Him, at least two of his brothers, at least one brother-in-law that I know of, and his nephew (whom he grew up with like a brother), all fought in WWII.

He came home a changed man, back to his love, family and with most of his friends, to meet a 4 year old daughter that was born while he was deployed. A frontline gunner.

My aunt is about 76 or approaching 77 now. Really puts things in perspective for me; and to think if he were alive to see all the hatred in the world today...

... all the hate he stood to fight against... just bubbling back up ... it's not right...

And that's not to mention all the disinformation & propaganda flying around now ...
... if he were alive today, he'd be shaking his head in shame ...
