Notable PyroCu plumes already on three significant SoCal fires this afternoon, as labeled, including , , and new . PyroCb possible later this PM, with lightning/outflow & downdraft winds as hazards.

Does it mean these types of clouds can create more fire hazards?

@Museek PyroCu is just short for pyrocumulus clouds... clouds which build above fires because of the heated air rising rapidly, and whatever water vapor may be in the air creates cumulus clouds. No more danger, it just means there is a lot of heat coming off those fires.
