Annnnnd... this is why you get checked. I'm thankful that I got my first colonoscopy Monday and thankful the precancerous polyps were removed in time. I had no symptoms. If you're 45+, get checked. It is fast, it is easy, and it could save your life!
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN That's great!
@JasonStiff 👍! Get it done, my father died of colon cancer, then one of his sisters, then a brother, several years ago my younger sister died from colon cancer, my first check at 60 resulted in 4 non cancerous polyps, 2d at 65=0 polyps, now 71 having a test in March, I’m urging my kids (3 in 30s) to have it done they’re young but it’s hitting 30Yo now! Test is painless get it done
@SupplySgt Yes painless and easy
@JasonStiff all true, but the prep is miserable.
@sfleetucker Wasn't the most fun, but I didn't mind it much. I was just glad the prep worked
@JasonStiff I had mine a few months ago. They didn't find anything, and told me to come back in 10 years.
@NoahPaulLeGies That's fantastic!
My aunt died of colon cancer. My sister got it in her 40s, but luckily it was found early as it triggered appendicitis. So my doc started checking me at 40 due to family history.
@Agatha I'm sorry to hear about your aunt... I'm glad you and your sister are getting checked!
@JasonStiff I got the screening done and I'm good for another 9 years now I think.
