Judge Esther Salas was on MSNBC Deadline Whitehouse with Nicole Wallace a few minutes ago. Sadly, her son answered the door and was killed by a crazy gunman who was too easily able to find the judge's address.

Shortly after, some laws were put in place to protect privacy of judges, as they should. Other laws to protect judges are in the works.

I totally agree with protecting private information of judges.

How about laws to protect privacy of the rest of us?

@Priestess once upon a time I worked for Westlaw. Any opportunity for privacy went out the door around 2000. Just saying.

I was almost killed twice because my father was a judge and that was during the 1960s. It was a small town, and there was no way to protect our privacy.

I’m all about protecting the families of judges when it is possible. I sure didn’t deserve to die, because somebody got convicted by a jury, and the judge sentenced them to jail. I was still in high school.
