I'm a nurse who works in a shelter for COVID+ homeless people.
And we are full, we are overflowing, because there's another COVID wave happening.

You really don't want to get it. You will likely survive now, but we have scary data about long term effects which we're still learning about.
I'm 5 times vaxxed, wear a mask in public, and wash my hands when I can't socially distance, and so far I haven't got it. In spite of my job.
It can be done. Please protect yourself. Get vaxxed, wear a mask.

@Medussas_Fury In the "for what it is worth" dept. a relative who works in rehab with women addicts who are incarcerated has gotten Covid three times now despite getting all the shots and wearing high-end masks.

I'm glad you haven't gotten it. Or that you got it and had zero symptoms.

Its quite likely I got it and was asymptomatic. I've been considering getting tested to see if that was the case.

It does pay to be careful, though. Immunizations and masks help.

@J_Windrow That sucks!
And yeah, in spite of every precaution one can catch it.
I didn't mean to imply that anyone who gets infected somehow failed. I just want people to take it seriously and not be complacent.
