I live with my very elderly sister. And most of the food in the house is stuff I buy. She went out to the store today when she came back I thought she was gonna have a heart attack because eggs were six dollars a dozen. I told her to stop deep breathing because I know a place to get them by the crate. It won’t take us that long to use 60 eggs and it’s a lot cheaper. We are lucky that we are able to afford this because not everybody can. Because of my neighbors I know I’ll never have chickens.
@J_Windrow Wait. You say 6 bucks for a dozen of eggs? where in the heck do you live? Eggs here at my local Walmart store are about $2.79 for a carton of 18 eggs. I would have a heart attack too if eggs were 6 bucks for a dozen! *waves from Portland, Oregon*
@J_Windrow Do you have friends that you can do bulk buys with? Not sure what is available in your area. Or maybe go in on some chickens/feed with friends with decent neighbors and split the eggs?
