Tommy Tuberville, who is blocking promotions of more than 265 military officers, has said for years his father Charles Tuberville Jr. earned 5 Bronze Stars. Examination of army histories calls into question claims by Tuberville. Tuberville’s tombstone lists his rank as TEC 5, a rank indicating technical skills but not combat leadership. "...EC 5 jobs were limited to armorer, cook, tank driver, light truck driver...He needed to be a sergeant to be a tank commander..." https://www.rawstory.com/tommy-tuberville-military-2662486611/
@JV3MJD Vet here so definitely not defending tubervillain, but there are two classes of Bronze Star. It is the highest medal given for meritorious service like being the best clerk ever. It can also be given for valor as in combat or for saving lives. The latter comes with a 'V' device to be pinned to the ribbon and is designated in the orders for the award. Anyway, thanks for reading this. Cheers!
