The Texas state Senate Education Committee this week will take up a bill requiring the Ten Commandments to be installed in every public school classroom, and another that would allow schools to hire pastors or chaplains instead of counselors.

@JV3MJD Ohhh my god 😳
@JV3MJD Not sure why they propose to do this when everyone of them have probably broken every single commandment.
@JV3MJD {sigh} 😮
Just when I thought I couldn't be any more ashamed to live in Texas. I have no problem with religion, or a lack of religion, or with those who choose beliefs completely contrary to my own, but to see this flagrant disregard for the concept of separation of church and state is beyond belief.
I think that any pastors or chaplains hired to be school counselors should immediately lose their tax exempt status for everything in which they are involved, including their church.
@JV3MJD The #ShitHoleization of America continues, led by Texas and Florida...
@JV3MJD That will make at least one parent uncomfortable?
That should meet the GOP threshold for banning it right?
