A reminder to all those who fear the prospect of the US turning into a dictatorship:
While, in a democracy, people can just wait for regime change... dictatorship changes the calculus - the only way out, and the most viable way for someone new to take power, is through bloodshed. And there are a lot of people who aspire to power.
What I'm trying to say is that TFG crowning himself dictator would quite likely prove a fatal move, and quickly.

@JKxZ It doesn't take a majority - or even a *large* minority - to be onboard for regime change to happen that way in a dictatorship.
Dictatorships put all their eggs in one basket. It doesn't take much for a single basketful of eggs to end up splattered all over the walls.
