We Americans also seem to have forgotten that our local elected officials are actually more important for our well being than the President, but very few of us ever vote in local elections allowing the minority to rule us.
I vote every single election. Recently we had a town wide budget vote for our tiny rural school. For some reason a bunch of people were advocating not to fund it.
Cripes it was probably a few dollars more to fund. Glad it passed, but ah boy angry elves.
Also someone stepped up as a write in so the nutters wouldn't overtake the school board! Whew.
We had a few uncontested seats or one candidate positions. 🤷♀️ no one wants to run? Idk.
