I only use hashtags if a) I'm being "provocative" or b) feel the need to concede to perceived "custom." Sometimes c) when it could be both. 😜
I agree that they're sometimes a PITA, like a laugh track to tell you when to laugh, but here, I find that, for me, anyway, they're an excellent means of avoiding confusion that can sometimes attach to a post, so I use them often.
