Ah yes...

This is ALWAYS good at getting people stirred up.

The Rock And Roll HOF inductees for the year.

"He doesn't belong!"
"She doesn't belong!"
"They don't belong!"
"Who cares -- HOF sucks!"
"The HOF can fuck off!"
"It's about time he/she/they got in!"

Let's hear it! 😆

How about "I couldn't care less ...""?

'Cause I really don't care; I never took it seriously to begin with. To me, it's a bit like having "Esq." at the end of one's name. Yes, you're a lawyer, but it doesn't mean you're any good at it. And, I refuse to let my musical tastes or judgments be dictated by yet another inane popularity contest.

@XaoslordErie

Confession — I fully enjoyed the ‘15 family trip pit stop in Cleveland specifically to visit the HOF. The lame cd store was, well, lame. Just inductees? Who knew? 🙄🤣 Everything else was cool and I managed to lose the boys…who had to call me: “Dad! Where the hell are you?” “Uh, hiding from you people!”

As for the HOF itself? I just giggle at the spectacle of those who say they don’t care…and then do. 😎

"I just giggle at the spectacle of those who say they don’t care…and then do."

Yup. I love to watch the bands / artists melt down and then tie themselves in knots with their sour grapes every cycle. Real musicians and real artists didn't and don't GAF. If it happens, cool. If not, also cool. Life goes on. Could you imagine Frank losing his mind over not being elected? It'd never happen.

@XaoslordErie

What I DO recall about Frank’s induction was that the Fam wanted Johnny “Guitar” Watson to do it…which would’ve been fitting cuz FZ started playing git cuz Johnny’s “Three Hours Past Midnight.” But (you knew there’d be a “but”) according to Dweezil, the HOF said Watson wasn’t cool cuz “drugs.”

So — as you also know — they got Lou “booze, smack, and methamphetamine” Reed to do it. Lou and Frank HATED each other.
🤔🙄🤣🤬🤣

@InUnfunky

I was never crazy over Lou, either; oh, he did a couple things I liked (none real popular), and he even had Wagner and Hunter from Alice Cooper's band touring with him as guitarists at one point, but the guy was an asshole and it never surprised me Frank didn't like him. Come to that, Jann Wenner was an asshole, too, and Frank didn't like him, either.

I don't deny Reed's major importance to rock, both with VU and solo. Sometimes I can respect his 'tude and more frequently his work/opinions once he got clean. The "New York" cd is great.

But I'm a Zappa guy, as you well know...with all that's attendant thereto. 😉

@InUnfunky

I agree with your assessment in terms of Reed's historical importance, and, of course, I'm a Frank kind of guy, too, as you know from our discussions. I'll take FZ over LR every time, any day of the week, and I don't even have to think about that. It's what I get for being an old-head Jazz and Prog guy ... and my only regret there is that I only ever got to see Frank once, even though he came to my hometown of Erie, PA several times (usually to Gannon University).

@InUnfunky

If fact, there is a 6 disc set being released in a couple days from Frank's Erie tours:
