Along those lines...
Here are the tour dates (US/CAN only) for Beat, the King Crimson splinter group (and Fripp-approved, for whatever that's worth, heh) with Belew, Levin, Vai, and Danny Carey.
Maybe The Egg, for me. I caught the double trio formation in '95 and don't know if I feel like watching Vai strutting and licking his way thru KC tunes for a couple of hours. Opinion subject to change, of course. ๐
Bruford has apparently put up pro-shot vids from the Warfield '95 show...
Bruford put this up 4 months ago?
Chills...and I saw this iteration in St. Pete that year.
As much as I like Fripp and Bruford...the old stuff only came alive after Belew and Tony joined.
And no...it wasn't just about balls-out rockers and quirky prog-funk. A spooky ballad would pop up here and there...plus, dig Bruford's notes on the posting.
Bill remains my favoured drummer for a reason.
You know, I like Phil and I love Gabriel-era Genesis, but I have never forgiven Phil, Tony, or Mike for treating Chester like they did and never making him a member, even after all his years of service to them. And Chester is, as you know, phenomenally gifted.
Agreed! And it didn't hurt that Adrian was once a drummer himself.
I was lucky enough to see ABWH in the late '80s in Massachusetts (Great Woods Center) ... brilliant. Only time I've ever seen Bill and the closest I came to seeing Yes (Squire was with the Rabin-Yes then).
I told my brother about this and he was on his phone immediately, getting seats for the State Theater in Mpls...
BEAUTYFUL!
How are the seats? ๐
I'm dead serious, those colonial NE seats at the Boch Center/Wang Theater were AWFUL. For comparison's sake...the Academy of Music in Northampton is a smaller theater but with the same narrow-ass seats...but with seemingly cushy cushions. Thumbs UP to the NoHo Academy!

@InUnfunky
Well, if you put it like that. I'm game!
You guys should go!
I suppose I'm being kinda heretical to FZ cultdom here considering Belew and Vai, my opinion could change. And again, the drive from here to Albany ain't bad -- saw Hornsby at The Egg in '09 and Primus (great show) at The Palace Theater in '17.
Here's the smarmy but musically-proficient Rick Beato talking to the dudes:
@InUnfunky
Only if it's local-ish. Bound to be a great show.
#CoSoMusic
As you (the proverbial "you," and/or a typical Crim fan lol) might expect, the supergroup will be playing tunes from "Discipline," "Beat," and "Three Of A Perfect Pair."
So the set list might look something like this from Montreal '84 --
