Immigrants come here to escape drugs, gangs, shit governments, shit economies (to say nothing of the results of US cold war policies in Central America), and increasingly...climate change. Always amusing to see the party of Reagan trash one of his supposed high points. Immigrants also come here to work and send money back home -- they create jobs, they pay taxes, they create demand, they do the jobs many US peeps don't wanna do. And thus they have greater incentive to behave.
