@emerging_clarity @Eviestorm This is the way. (The masking & vaxxing & boosting, I mean, not the getting-all-the-childhood-diseases thing...)

I never got measles, mumps, rubella, any of it. The only significant childhood disease I got was chickenpox, and now they have a vaccine against it. Science rules!

SO vacuumed the house & he puts a teeny drop of peppermint oil in his vacuum filter so the house smells really really nice now, & that does actually help. Plus mint tea.

OK so the lingering nausea kind of uh, isn't pleasant.

But I pretty much have stayed on top of the vaccine schedule for a person of my age, born when I was born, with the comorbidities I have. Mainly because vaccines fucking WORK, & I'm not interested in either getting sick with some awful bullshit, or passing awful bullshit along to other people.

It was considered eradicated in the US by the time I was born (early 1970s), so I never got it.

OK, so I'm all up on C-19 & shingles, pneumonia, & this season's flu. Had MMR as a kid, TdaP a while back, could probably stand a Td booster...

Probably wouldn't hurt to get a Hep B vax either, tho' risk factors are low for that one.

I never got the smallpox vaccine.

@sanau Nah it was my 2nd. So at least it's over with, LOL!

Just both at once? Yeah, not one of my wiser choices, as it turned out. All weekend I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Feverish, body aches, malaise, miserable, dizzy/lightheaded, nauseated.

So get your shots. Just not right at the same time. Space 'em out over a few weeks.

I tend to have a reaction after some vaccinations, so this isn't anything new for me. Neither is it something bad enough that I'd avoid a vaccine, because I know the alternative is way worse.

OK the vaccines kicked my ass this weekend. Shingrix plus Pfizer bivalent C-19 wasn't a good time. I'm still feeling it.

All rightchy'all, I'm outta here, gonna go see what Zanil Theran has for sale. Later gators.

I'mma totally be sore & achy for a day or two. I reacted like that to all my C-19 shots & the 1st shingles shot too. Definitely worth it.

@DrFaustus Yeah I've had mild flu-like side effects with every C-19 shot so I did it on a Friday. Same with the first shingles shot.

I got my C-19 bivalent booster & 2nd shingles vax today, y'all! 💉 💉

@BluebirdForSanity Right?? Just what I'm sayin'. One pot means *one* pot.

If a one-pot recipe tells you to sauté your vege &/or protein in a pan first, I don't think it counts as a one-pot recipe.

When I look for one-pot recipes, I want the sort of thing where you can toss all the ingredients into a single pot & then cook it.

@TrueBloodNet Yeah I wonder if it's an extinction burst. And I hella hope that the extinction comes after the burst.
