Kinda seems like a big root of all evil in the 20th century was... wait for it... NAZIS.

& remember when people in the US understood that Nazis were THE BAD GUYS? Good times, good times.

But then sometimes they'll visit a place in Africa or S. America & turns out hey! It was a resort... used by Nazis. Or a colonial barracks... built by Fascist Italians, who were in bed with Nazis. Or something like that.

Half the time when a given show covers a site in Europe somewhere, it turns out to be either a place the Nazis built or a place other ppl built to fight off the Nazis; & same is true when they find or visit a shipwreck anywhere in the N Atlantic.

Been watching a lot of shows lately about abandoned buildings & shipwrecks & stuff like that all over the world, & it's surprising how many places they go that end up being a reminder that Nazis shit up everything.

Well, I got a derm exam, labwork, & vaccines scheduled. PT & massage are in the works. Struggling to find a gyno for menopause care - they all want a referral despite the laws saying they don't need one. Gave up on sleep study.

If the process for obtaining medical care in the US isn't designed to make people give up & *not* get care, I'll eat my shoe.

There are a few stories of un-ID'd people I follow. The ones about children are the saddest. This one is a case I've followed for a while & hoped so much the little guy would get his name back. Looks like he finally has.

I hear certain models of Subaru Outback are also great in the snow. Never driven one tho'.

Having all the car's weight in the back made all the difference. It was small & maneuverable too, that probably also helped.

It was even hot in the car: in old VW Bugs, the heater pulled from the engine via heat exchanger. It was either cold AF or melt-your-face-off hot in that car - but for a snowy day, it was great. Defrosted & kept flakes off the windows just fine.

We're tooling down I-5 at 30mph, no problems at all, no skidding or slipping & *no chains* - meanwhile, the freeway shoulders were littered with sports cars & oversized trucks & cars of ppl who thought their 4WD would help them. We made it from NE Seattle to W Seattle & back with no issues.
