Another positive result of voting early is that it reduces your anxiety about the election.
Of course, you may still worry about the results of the election. But you won't be piling on top of that worry other worries about getting to the polls on time, long lines, getting to a booth before the polls close, having your ID or ballot challenged, people interfering or making a scene in the polling place; you know that your ballot is in, is safe, and will be counted.

@DavidSalo YMMV. Voting in WA is, as I've said, less stressful than getting a haircut. For me, the relief of having finally decided who to vote for in a local race isn't much compared to waiting twelve days to find out whether my country's going fascist or not.
