I should note that the entirety of the wait to vote was based on standing in long lines. Where I was, at least, there were no technical problems with equipment and there were no issues with checking ID.

@DavidSalo WA's system, vote by mail (or dropbox, even better), is the best I've seen by far. Ridiculously convenient, no standing in line, you can track your ballot's progress, and if anything goes wrong they'll work with you to fix it.
