I just wrote to one of my senators about this stupid stunt Tommy Tuberville is pulling (https://apnews.com/article/senate-military-nominations-holds-tommy-tuberville-e38d853526de044ac59338d32d7a0e10).
But the Democrats (1) can't easily change the rules to defang this moron, and (2) have little incentive to do so: there's an election coming soon, and a Republican who serves himself up as the epitome of stubborn obstructionism, on an issue where most voters agree with the Democrats, is not something you just throw away. Not till after the election, anyway.

@ImagineThat Neither party is on our side. They work for their own interests. Each party just tells their people what they want to hear so they can keep doing it.
If the Republicans weren't providing a Tuberville, the Democrats would either provide a Manchinema or fund a Republican in a district they consider sacrificial.
R's want to kill us and enslave the rest. D's just want to keep the serfs working.
@ImagineThat We can't leave military vacancies for a year and a half in hopes of the next election. That's insanity. Hugely unsafe. #politics
