I think you're right.
The weight of the public polling data reflects a statistical dead heat, which is why I've been commenting in that vein. Of course, my fantasy is that, this time, the polls are underestimating the Democrat.

I'm not an atheist, but I don't really have any magical figure to pray to either.
And yet, I find myself doing it. Sometimes, I'm just praying, not _to_ anyone. So I suppose it's more like wishing. Sometimes, I'm praying to whoever will hear. Most of the time, I pray to humanity to be better. At least I'm sure humanity is present and real, if not listening.

I have no more surety of anything happening after death or there being a higher intelligence at work than I do a lack of surety. all that I do know is that "god" is a human construct cooked up to explain things we hadn't learned to quantify yet, The Goatherds Guid To The Galaxy is nothing worth respecting.
