Off topic: does anyone here use the iOS/iPadOS app version of Mastadon have problems adding images? We routinely run into an uploading error, which forces us to use the web browser on mobile to make posts.
@HiRISE Ahh, I don't use the native Mastodon app on iOS. Thought you were referring to CoSo.
@HiRISE Yup, same. Although generally all I have to do is kill and restart the app, and it works fine again.
I don't have the problem with third-party apps (although most recent apps won't authenticate with CoSo, I don't know why). Metatext still works fine.

If you are referring to uploading of images to CoSo, remember that all meta data is stripped from images as the image hash is checked against legal databases for child abuse exploitation. This does sometimes cause images to appear rotated or incorrect.
As for other mastodon instances, that would have to be addressed by their systems team.

There are some hidden turds here; but with regards to using the CoSo app on iPhone; it is much better than any of the other instance apps I have found.
Because of the different seeds out there for Mastodon now; those apps may have more and more issues trying to cater to all of them.
Good luck on your search; and like you said; worse case, use the browser interface. Clunky but functional.
