My mom went in for wound care over a month ago. It was supposed to only be for 2 weeks. Right as her wound healed enough to come home, someone in the facility tested positive for covid. She then tested positive a few days later and we had to fight with them to get her started on paxlovid immediately. She's symptom free thanks to being vaccinated and paxlovid, but she's still testing positive. We're hoping she can come home soon.
Please wear a mask you guys. Covid, h5n1, and rsv are ramping up.
Hope your mom is home soon!
The new otc covid tests also include testing for the flu as well.
While I understand some people are unable to get vaccinations- others should, especially health care workers & every one who isn't currently.
There is a new RSV vaccine out. Get it!
Covid vaccinations are like flu vaccinations, you need to update them.
@Hettivong The only reason I've never had Covid since this all started in 2019 is because I always mask up, glove up and have just finished my 8th vaccine booster. 5 years, no covid. There is excuse not to do this.
@Hettivong Yep. I work in a nursing home, and this past Friday we were finally clear of Covid "outbreak" status after two weeks. Shit's gonna get a lot worse.
