Ok so this is NOT an emergency. Putting that right up here at the top.

Wife is a fair bit overweight. We’re working on that. She also has a history of unexplained deep chest pain, but doctors were unable to find evidence of heart attacks.
She just now had a severe, sudden bout of generalized, spreading leg pain. I had her check for swelling, skin color change, etc - other than pain, she has no symptoms of Deep Vein Thrombosis.

So, I’m fairly confident this isn’t an emergency.

That said…

@GlytchMeister if positional change causes the torso pain to lessen, please encourage her to have her cervical spine checked. I have several collapsed disks etc, and the pain from that feels like a heart attack at times. A horrible crushing pain that spreads around my torso from the injured vertebrae to ribs, neck, etc.

@GlytchMeister As to her leg - does relieving pressure on the sciatic nerve help? One of the more common ways to relieve it is to lay on your back, bend the knee of the effected leg, and have someone else *very gently* push the knee towards the chest. There are clear diagrams online that explain the method far better than I can.

@Hettivong

I’ll have her try that when it flares up again. Thanks

@Hettivong

Position change had an effect but it wasn’t ever consistent - there was no one position that caused or lessened pain, it was pretty randomly aggregated and sometimes it would flare despite a lack of movement from a position that wasn’t previously aggravating the pain.
She also doesn’t have a history of back injuries or pack pain.
Thanks, tho.
