Today's experiment: making body butter 🙂

1 cup raw shea butter
1/2 cup coconut butter
1/2 cup jojoba oil
1 teaspoon jasmine fragrance oil

....here's to hoping this works out.

Follow

Method:
Melted the shea and coconut butter together in a large Pyrex measuring jug, using the microwave on 30sec bursts, sort of stirring in between.
Once completely melted, transferred the melted oils to a stainless steel mixing bowl and stirred until clear. Let cool for a few minutes.
Stirred in the jojoba oil and then the fragrance oil.
The mixture is now sitting in the freezer hardening. It'll probably take about 30min to set to the goal consistency of soft butter.

Oops. Left in the freezer too long. Instead of softened butter, it's more like butter from the fridge. Currently letting it soften.

I was able to get the consistency to what I wanted: in-between Devonshire cream and whipped cream. The mixture doubled in volume, filling 2.75 jars with yummy organic jasmine body butter. Yay! 😃🎉
