While researching how exactly I acquired that Cornel West album, I have stumbled upon a note that my former self thought was important for future self to have.
Why...exactly...did I think I needed to jot down my favorite music discoveries of 2007?
In no particular order, here's 2007 me's favorite music

@jdfsbd Sorry to butt in the party, but I tried to listen and I will state that I absolutely detest Rap under any form, as it symbolizes, many times, an invitation to violence.
Plus the syncopated rythm is always there giving everybody a serious headache!
But I fully respect different tastes for different strokes!😩
@Helveticus I go though phases with most styles of art.
Pre high school I pretty much only listened to the classic rock, oldies & religious music that my parents subjected me to.
High School was hip hop & loud metal
20s began w/ a short pop-country phase and ended with the jazz phase (ongoing). In between there was the militant anti US policy protest music phase(also ongoing, though less combustible).
30s jazz, blues & roots of modern music
40s doesn't have a theme yet.
