@OracleSpirit @LnzyHou One of my favorite scholars of the I Ching, a Taiwanese scholar, writes about change, "the only true constant in life is change." I love change. It brings new gifts when I am open to receiving them. ☯️ 💖 🙏

We all need to do what feels right. Karma takes care of the rest. 🙏

@OracleSpirit Feel the numbness. Nothing has not been said nor felt within the universal space. But everything can be a fresh experience when we see it from a new perspective. 🙏 ☯️ 💖

Dog is gǒu
To cross is guò
For many, the "ou" and "uo" sounds are easy to confuse. Many of my English-speaking students see them as the same. They sound quite different in Mandarin. "u" is pronunced like "oo" in moon or boot.
So, dog is "go-u" and cross is "gu-o."
Cheers! 💖

Yup! Don't let the sun shine on it! 😆
I've heard it as anything with it's back facing the sun is edible. Humans don't have their backs facing the sun. Either way, same outcome. Cantonese will eat any animals. lol 😉
@koavf Yeah. I try to take things lightly with all the need we have to belittle China's incredible development over the past 30 years. I saw what it was like firsthand and am quite supportive of the hard work. There are cultural differences and that can cause challenges. Here's an article I wrote recently. You might find it interesting. https://toddcornell.substack.com/p/the-yin-yang-effect
@koavf I worked for the Confucius Institute. I really don't fall for this stuff. It's mostly propaganda. The problem is not so much the CI but the Chinese national directors in the Institutes. I worked as an Assistant Director and the Director was a Chinese national. He was a mess. If they have good Directors, local hired. it is much easier to control what is going on. The Directors can be decided by the local universities. Cheers!
