@USAPatriot I’ll give it 2 more months tops. Rocket is the same size now at 4.5 mos that Tank was at 6 mos.

Sleepy puppy. He's in the colt phase right now. All legs and elbows.

Also, the muddy nose phase which seems to last well into adulthood based on observing Tank...

@AirRation some say that gelatin helps with the ears. it's a good protein source anyway.

Road trip (to Lowe's). Got lots of pets from people.

Rocket's ears are flopsy again today. He might be teething.

@EnochianEntropy I actually wouldn't mind it if I knew the money was going to things like more support for veterans, especially mental health care and helping provide affordable medical care.... or education...

@EnochianEntropy

someone has to support the welfare state for the rich. those private jets don't pay for themselves you know.....

@EnochianEntropy

It's 5 digits.

We knew we were going to owe quite a bit due to a settlement, but the new tax laws disallowed deducting legal fees (which they snuck in there) and the cap on S&L taxes was a major hit.

The good news: finally got our taxes done with time to spare.

The bad news:

@AirRation This was after their truce. Rocket's ears look HUGE, but they are actually the same size as Tank's (perspective makes Rocket look bigger than he is in relation to Tank).

@Jsabinas that doesn't surprise me. In the GOP's eyes, we are a welfare state for the rich and the poor, sick, and needy can all just go eff themselves.

@amarand but thanks for the advice. I will definitely pass it on. We're lucky that we live near several VA hospitals (DC area).

@Engineonfire

@Engineonfire @amarand he scheduled an appointment with his civilian primary care physician to collect some records, get an opinion and start his appeal.

We are doing OK without his disability. It's nowhere near a 100% rating, but his injuries are spinal, and he will eventually will require surgery. Granted the VA will pay for that, but his mobility has gotten significantly worse over the 10 years we've been together and it's just going to get worse. He's an old man and not even 40 yet.

@CherNohio I will say it was MUCH faster for them to downgrade him... maybe 2 months.

@CherNohio They require a lot, but I don't know if it's as extensive. He gets a lot of his care at the VA for issues relating to his service. It took several months to get a response, but not years - maybe 6 months.

@Engineonfire @amarand

it just seems like too much of a coincidence that he was just reassessed last year (and upgraded) and then all of a sudden less than a year later, they call for another reassessment and then downgrade him.
