I'm not afraid he has a chance of winning his stupid lawsuits and I'm not afraid he won't leave on Jan 20. I'm afraid he'll try and destroy as much as he can before he leaves. He can declassify anything he wants and we already know that the GOP senate will not do anything to stop him, even if it kills/harms our allies and their own constituents (and causing harm to us and our allies will be his intent).
He killed 100,000 Americans in 10 weeks (March-May).
(I know I'm a buzzkill. Sorry.)
@ehurtley My husband is ex-Army. None of his Army buddies are pro-trump, but what I've found is that he does have quite a bit of support in the white, young, enlisted folks, which is in-line with the rest of the country (undereducated, white men).
That said, I'm not afraid of a coup. I'm just afraid of the damage he can do by firing people, exposing national intelligence secrets, and causing chaos. My only consolation is they probably keep a lot of intel secrets from him. Plus he doesn't read.
@H3athers Yeah, while there are some members of the military who support Trump, the military leadership absolutely won't back Trump in a coup, or allow him to use the military for propaganda or to stay in power.
