I just got bombarded by 10 different recruiters for the same Product Mgmt position in security (major telecom co). They are requiring a Masters in IT, 10 years experience and offering a salary that's about 60% of what I make. No way will they find anyone to take this job (it's in the DC area and I was paying my Sr Product Managers what they are offering back in 2005 for non-security products).
@H3athers my experience was just before the .com implosion in 1999. I think they wanted all the PHD's they could find to look good for financing and stock market listing. 🤔 I dunno.
