I'm expected to go to dinner with employees from out of town, I'm expected to go to dinner when I travel to other offices, I'm expected to go to dinner with other teams to foster collaboration...
Like my introverted ass just wants to go home but NOO
@willsecurity If you are in management long enough you'll find ways to make excuses not to socialize. I was at another office this week and I just said I had too much work to catch up on and that I'd catch them next time. I ended up ordering take out and going to bed early.
Last week I was at CES and I did the dinner thing twice, but since I booked at another hotel from everyone else I basically just holed up the other days.
@willsecurity I've been in some sort of customer-facing/management role for 15 years. I am impervious to such guilt most of the time.
I need to find a job with less people interaction 😂
@H3athers HAHA when I travel I get away with hoteling but when people come to the HQ I feel like I have to do something ... I even took him out for lunch but now we have dinner NOOOO
